Step 1 · Identify it

What is it off, and does it have a number?

If it's a WestCraft number we'll recognize it and pre-fill what we know. If not, no problem — we'll measure it.

Step 2 · Measure

Bore

Inside diameter of the barrel tube — measure the bore itself, not the outside of the tube.

Step 3 · Measure

Rod diameter

Measure across the widest point of the rod with calipers, clear of any scoring.

Step 4 · Measure

Retracted length

Rod fully pushed in: overall length from the rear mount to the rod-end mount.

Step 5 · Measure

Extended length

Rod fully pulled out: overall length from the rear mount to the rod-end mount.

Step 6 · Measure

Pin-to-pin (retracted)

Rod fully retracted: center of the rear pin hole to center of the rod-end pin hole.

Step 7 · Ports

Port type & position

The port thread and position have to match so the plumbing lines up. Not sure? Leave it — a photo covers it.

Step 8 · Photos

Photos of the nameplate, ports & mounts

Optional, but photos catch what a measurement misses — the nameplate, the port fittings, and both mounting ends. JPG or PNG, up to 4 photos.
