Using the configurator & its outputs.

Our configurator, calculators, and the files they generate are engineering aids to help you scope a cylinder and start a conversation — not final production documents. Here's exactly what they are and aren't.

Envelope models, not released drawings

Every drawing, DXF, PDF, 3D model (STEP / STL / glTF), and datasheet the configurator produces is an envelope model — not a released production drawing. It represents the overall size and arrangement of a cylinder within our build envelope so you can check fit and start an RFQ. It is not a released production drawing: it carries no guaranteed tolerances, no GD&T, no material or finish callouts, and no certifications. Every build is reviewed by WestCraft engineering before it is quoted or shipped.

The calculators are reference tools

The force, rod-buckling, speed, and seal-temperature calculators use standard textbook methods across our build envelope. They're meant to guide sizing decisions, not to replace a stamped engineering review of your application. Confirm any critical result with our engineers before you build to it.

Part numbers

A configuration's part number encodes its build identity so it can be quoted and reordered without ambiguity. The numbering scheme is in active use; until it is formally published as a permanent standard, treat a part number as a precise handoff to us, not a catalog SKU.

Getting a real quote

Nothing generated here is an offer or a price. To get a firm price and lead time, send your configuration or drawing through Request a Quote or call the shop at (936) 858-4426 — a person reviews every request.
